Safer Internet Day

This registration is for joining us in-person.

Each year, Safer Internet Day provides a great occasion to raise awareness of emerging online issues and to work together to reduce online harm. Its importance continues to grow with increasing digital threats from prominent and unregulated social networks. In the European Union, 2023 will be a major year with the implementation of new regulations: the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA). In the United States, despite divided government, there is broad bipartisan consensus on the need to protect Americans’ privacy and children’s’ safety online.

Please join the Center for American Progress for conversations with FTC Commissioner Alvaro Bedoya, Member of EU Parliament Sandro Gozi, CAP President and CEO Patrick Gaspard, and former member of French Parliament and CAP Senior Fellow Laetitia Avia.

A light lunch will be provided.

Monday, February 06, 2023 - 1:00 pm - 2:30PM (U.S./Eastern)
