Leveraging Technology to Equip K-12 Students for Success
Technology is changing the ways in which we learn and interact with the world. To best prepare U.S. students for this global shift, federal, state, and local policymakers must equip schools with the resources necessary to encourage innovation and incorporate modern and accessible educational technology in the classroom. It is vital that schools adapt and provide learning opportunities to educators and students, ensuring that technology integration is ethical, equitable, and appropriate.
This panel discussion will be a culminating event to a technology series from CAP’s K-12 Education Policy team, which highlights the challenges and opportunities of technological advancements in artificial intelligence and how disparities in access to digital learning tools and curriculum can affect student learning and long-term success. The briefs of the series provide recommendations for policymakers and practitioners to enhance the accessibility and use of technology in K-12 schools. This event will bring together legislators, researchers, educators, advocates, and other stakeholders to discuss opportunities to advance education through the use of technology.
